NT8 WatchDog is a lightweight NinjaTrader 8 addon that monitors your broker connection in real time. When your connection drops, WatchDog sends an instant Telegram alert so you can take action before missed trades or unmanaged positions become a problem.

Why Connection Monitoring Matters

Automated trading systems rely on a stable broker connection. If NinjaTrader loses its connection to your broker, open orders may not execute, stop losses may not trigger, and new signals will fail silently. Without monitoring, you may not realize your system is offline until significant damage has occurred.

Note

NinjaSync includes its own built-in Connection Monitor with Telegram alerts. If you are already using NinjaSync, you do not need WatchDog — the functionality overlaps. WatchDog is designed for traders who use NinjaTrader without NinjaSync.
