2. Setup Guide

Install and configure WatchDog.

WatchDog installs as a native NinjaTrader 8 addon. The process is similar to importing any NinjaScript addon.

Prerequisites

  • —NinjaTrader 8 installed and running
  • —An active WatchDog subscription on Whop
  • —A Telegram account for receiving alerts

Installation Steps

Download from Whop

After purchasing, download the WatchDog .zip file from your Whop dashboard or the download link in your email.

Import to NinjaTrader

Open NinjaTrader 8, go to Tools → Import → NinjaScript Add-On... and select the WatchDog .zip file.

Restart NinjaTrader

Close and reopen NinjaTrader 8 to complete the installation.

Create a Telegram Bot

Open Telegram, message @BotFather, send /newbot, and copy the Bot Token. Then message @userinfobot to get your Chat ID.

Configure WatchDog

Open the WatchDog settings in NinjaTrader and enter your Telegram Bot Token and Chat ID. Enable monitoring and save.

Note

After setup, WatchDog runs automatically every time NinjaTrader starts. No manual intervention required.
