9. Telegram Alerts

Get notified of connection issues via Telegram.

NinjaSync can send you Telegram alerts when your NinjaTrader broker connection drops or recovers. Combined with the Connection Monitor, this gives you real-time awareness of your trading infrastructure health.

Setup Steps

Create a Telegram Bot

Open Telegram and message @BotFather. Send /newbot, follow the prompts, and copy the Bot Token it gives you.

Get Your Chat ID

Message @userinfobot on Telegram. It will reply with your numeric Chat ID.

Configure in Settings

Go to http://localhost:4003/settings and paste both the Bot Token and Chat ID into their respective fields.

Enable Connection Monitor

Check Enable disconnect detection + alerts to activate monitoring. The bridge will check your broker connection every 10 seconds.

What You Get Alerted About

  • —Disconnect alert — sent immediately when NinjaTrader loses its broker connection
  • —Reconnection alert — sent when the connection is restored, including the total downtime duration

Note

Leave both Bot Token and Chat ID empty to disable Telegram alerts entirely. Connection Monitor requires Telegram to be configured to send alerts.
